Talk about systems not going down. The City of Las Vegas commissioned us to convert one of the biggest detention centers on the west coast from a PLC-based door controls, CCTV and Intercom system to a computer-based system, while fully occupied by their “guests”.

While we were at it, we evaluated, recommended, designed and oversaw the City’s migration from a proprietary, localized radio system to a statewide system where they would be able to communicate intra-department on their own channel, or easily communicate to any other department or jurisdiction. And we upgraded their Command and Dispatch center. And we laid out the best option and implementation strategy for deploying mobile laptops to query city, county, state and national databases.
